About

Guelph Open Mic presented by Fitz

What style is this open mic?

The Guelph Open Mic is an event for musicians of all skill levels to come together and share their music with the community. All genres and styles of music are welcome and everyone is encouraged to come out and support local talent. It's free, fun, and a great way to meet people.

There are 15-minute time slots allocated to each person or roughly 3-4 songs. You can play as a solo act or with a group. There will be microphones and a PA system, but the music is meant to be semi-acoustic. This means focusing on smaller setups to create a relaxed vibe without large bands or drums, and avoiding bass and distortion. We are looking to add ambience to the Beer Hall and not overpower the space.

The next event will be Sunday July 21st from 6-9 pm at Royal City Brewing Co. Check out our previous events.
